Potty and stool logging
Record what you saw on the standard 1–7 scale your vet already uses, with an optional photo. A week of consistent entries tells a clinician far more than a description from memory does.
Medicine and supplement reminders
Set the schedule, get the nudge, confirm the dose — and the whole household sees it was given, so nobody doubles it. Identification, logging and reminding. Never guidance.
Abnormal-event alerts
Vomiting, blood, a seizure. Logged once by whoever saw it, and everyone in the household is told immediately — because the person who needs to know is usually not the person in the room.
Vet-ready PDF export
Meals and amounts, weights, doses given and missed, potty and stool history, exported as a clean PDF you can email ahead or hand over at the desk. Free, on every plan, forever.
Where we stop, on purpose.
A dog-care app that starts guessing at diagnoses is a dangerous product, and we are not building one. The line is drawn in the code, not just in the copy.
What RueRoo Dog says
“This looks closest to a 5 on the standard 1–7 scale. Here’s what you logged over the past week.”
What it will never say
“Your dog may have a parasite.” Describing and scoring is a record. Diagnosing is a veterinary act, and it belongs to your vet.
The same boundary applies to reminders. Push delivery depends on Apple, Google, your network and your phone, so a reminder is best-effort by nature. Please don’t make RueRoo Dog the only safeguard for a life-critical medication.
